Loving android

The rare double post...
This post seems fitting with today's news of Android based phones dominating the smartphone market.  Simply put, I love android.  The possibilities are truly endless.  With a fully customizable interface and developers creating every app out there for the platform, you can't go wrong with an Android phone.  My phone of choice currently is the Verizon HTC Thunderbolt.  Outside of the well publicized battery life issues, the phone is fantastic.  I love the scrolling pages and the options they give you.  My middle five pages are organized like categories and an expression of myself and how I want my phone to be.  I can have a social media page with facebook, twitter and pictures.  A sports page with fantasy apps, espn, and score apps.  A music page with my own personal music library, pandora, and a podcast player.  The best part is I can choose any app I feel is best and use widgets for simple quick use.  I have a photo frame, banking apps, weather widgets, a games folder, multiple emails, notes, and phone controls all at my finger tips with simple swipes of the screen.  Did I mention, multitasking? Always has been and always will be a staple of Android phones.  Android rocks! I can't wait for the continued improvements over the next months and years.

Downhilling crazies

The downhill biking season is coming to a quick end at Northstar.  First off, everyone mobbing down the mountain over dirt and rocks and trees are slightly crazy.  Proof: the injuries involved blood half the time.  That doesn't happen on the soft snow of winter.  Second, the riders really have impressive skill in navigating the trails down the mountain.  It takes a little crazy in you to do this sport, but the skill people show at such high speeds is impressive and fun to watch.  There is great balance involved and a riders athletic ability is tested every time down the trail.  Props to the guys shredding Northstar's downhill trails...looking forward to more carnage next summer!
